Etsy Account

Today I set up an account on Etsy.com to sell some of my artwork. I am not too familiar with this kind of buying and selling, so I find it a bit of an experiment. I hope it all goes well :) Got my PayPal account set up and everything so I am all set! Wish me luck :)

Darkside's Banner

I was commissioned by my World of Warcraft raid leader to help design a new banner for our guild homepage. With some help from his brother and another guild member(we needed gnomes to pose for us) we came up with a pretty awesome outcome. It can be viewed here: http://darkside.guildlaunch.com/

Plan

The more I think about what I would like to do as a career, the more open I feel about opportunities. I have also learned a lot about myself with this and have become a lot more receptive about what I want as well as how I want to contribute to society.

To begin, I am really aiming toward my own business. Right now I can see freelance designs. I like the idea of teaching, and will probably get certified to teach after I get my BA in Studio Art, but I would like to put more toward freelancing. Any kind of image designing I would be happy with.

Eventually I would like to evolve into a store that sells art, art supplies, craft supplies, and other various items while also offering services such as custom designing and art camps/classes for adults and children.

Doodlebug

In my down time I have found that making small doodles and turning them into bigger doodles can be inspiring. One example of this is shown below. It is interesting that inspiration can hit someone in the most unlikely places. This one? Philosophy class.

Introduction

I am Lindsey Lee and a current Studio Art Major at Columbia College in Columbia, SC. I have been creating art since I could pick up a drawing utensil and I feel very strongly about everything I create. I can be considered a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to my designs, but I am not so much of a perfectionist that I wear myself out on one piece.

My strong points are definitely animal and fantasy pieces.

I will continue to update with concept designs and pieces that I have been working on in class and free-time alike. If you have any questions feel free to email me at LeeLindseyErin@gmail.com or reply to my posts.
